About this collection

This collection contains images from the University Archives during the period that Idaho State University was the Idaho State College, 1947-1963.

"As the years progressed [following the expansion in the 1930's] many of the earlier buildings on campus were torn down due to either unstable foundations or to make way for more modern buildings to fit the needs of the growing campus. In 1947 the school was renamed the Idaho State College, and agin in 1963 to Idaho State University."  (Matthew H. Shugert, student C.P.I., ISU Special Collections and Archives, 2013-2014)
